The Scout On! Merit Badge College is an event spanning a couple of months to give our Scouts an opportunity to work on merit badges during the COVID-19 where social distancing is necessary and to continue to Scout On!  


Scouts must attend all sessions of the merit badge and must complete all prerequisite and assignments between the event days in order to participate in the college and earn Merit Badges.  All sessions require a Scout to be able to come into a video conference room.  They must be able to be heard and seen to participate.

Badges Offered (& Out of Class Requirements)

  • American Heritage (3c & 5)
  • Art (4, 5 & 6)
  • Citizenship in the Community (Week 1: Movie idea for 5.  Week 2: 3, 4b, 5, 7c.  Prep 8 to present week 3)
  • Cooking (4, 5 & 6)
  • Cycling (2, 3, 5 & 7)
  • Digital Technology (1, 5b, 6 & 9a)
  • Drafting (coming soon)
  • Energy - At Your Own Pace (Must have current Cyber Chip.  All requirements done outside of class and at your own pace with supplemental video support and weekly office hours to answer questions).
  • Family Life (Week 1: Bring ideas for 4 & 5.  Week 3: 4, 5, 6b.  After class: 3) RECOMMENDED: 13 Years+
  • Genealogy (2, 3, 4b & 5. Bring info on your family to complete 6 & 7).
  • Medicine (7 & 10)
  • Personal Management (1, 2, 8, 9 & 10) RECOMMENDED: 13 Years+
  • Programming (Must have proof of cyber chip.  Projects completed outside of class will be discussed first session)
  • Programming - At Your Own Pace (Must have proof of cyber chip.  Everything completed at your own pace with supplemental video support and once a week office hours to answer questions).
  • Public Health (complete the worksheet and be ready to discuss:
  • Scholarship (1, Prep to discuss 2a, 2d, 3, 4 & 5)
  • Space Exploration (2, 3, 4, 5, 7 & 8)
  • St. George Medal (all Program levels - coming soon)
  • Traffic Safety (2a, 3, 4a & 5b)
